Summer Financial Aid

If you plan to take courses over the summer, you may be able to receive some financial aid to offset the costs. Some summer aid is based on a first-come, first-served basis, so it's important to get all required information submitted as soon as possible.

Applying for Summer Aid

To apply, you must:

  • File a current FAFSA, if not already on file.
  • Be in a degree-seeking program at EMU and meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress.
  • Complete the summer financial aid application available February 15 (if the 15th falls on a weekend, the application will be available on Monday). The form is available on our Forms Directory.
  • Please make sure to carefully read and complete the application. Generally, you will need to allow for two weeks of application processing time. You can check the status of your financial aid application on your My.Emich Student Services Tab under Outstanding Financial Aid Requirements.
