EMU Student Ozlem Akdogan selected for "Excellence in Graduate Polymer Research Award" by American Chemical Society at ACS 253rd National meeting 4.19.17

It is EMU's great pleasure to announce that one of its graduate students in Polymers and Coatings - Ozlem Akdogan has been selected for the "Excellence in Graduate Polymer Research Award" by  the American Chemical Society (ACS) at their 253rd National meeting in San Francisco early this month. This award is given to recognize outstanding research and researchers in the area of polymer science and technology.  Out of 1200 submissions only 20 graduate students received this award. out of 1200 submissions.

Akdogan is no stranger to accomplishment and accolade at EMU having been recognizes for their excellence in developing "green" coatings both on campus and within broader national and international communities, most recently having visited India in January 2017 as a College of Technology Ambassador to showcase COT programs and her research accomplishments and being honored as one of the 2017 GRC Scholarly/Creative Activity Award winners, to name just a few.
