Mentoring 4 Life Opportunity for Graduate Students

The Graduate School is excited to announce a valuable career development opportunity for EMU graduate students. Mentoring 4 Life, an NSF-funded, co-curricular academic program, helps graduate students understand how to take control of their own mentoring, how to engage in effective mentoring, and how to embark on successful careers.  Students who complete the program will develop their own set of effective mentoring skills that they will be able to utilize during every stage of their professional career.

Mentoring 4 Life activities will be evenly spread throughout the Fall 2022 and Winter 2023 semesters.  The program includes six, two-hour, interactive workshops on the following career-development topics: Student Services, Emotional Well-Being, Self-Awareness, Mentoring Plans, Careers, and Networking.  Participants will also engage in five, one-hour Growth Group sessions with their graduate student peers.

Mentoring 4 Life is free to any student enrolled in an EMU graduate program.  Students who participate and complete all activities will receive special recognition on their EMU academic transcript.

The program is facilitated by faculty and staff from the College of Education, the Graduate School, and Student Affairs.

To apply for the Mentoring 4 Life fellowship, please complete and submit an application by Friday, September 9th, 2022.
