Biography

Amy Bearinger is an advocate for student-driven success and is committed to empowering students at Eastern Michigan University. Beginning in 2005 as a graduate assistant for the Communication, Media and Theatre Arts department, Amy is now a full-time lecturer teaching a variety of communication courses. Striving to facilitate self-motivation within the classroom, Amy guides students to truly value communication knowledge, awareness, and skill. Amy also serves as the event coordinator for the Undergraduate Symposium. This role gives her the opportunity to connect students with faculty mentors and unique research opportunities. A native Michigander, you can find Amy making the most of her free time at Detroit sporting events or up north enjoying the Great Lakes with family and friends.
