We are sure you have heard this a million times already, but let us say it again, "Welcome to the EMU family!"
Our commitment to helping you succeed begins the minute you set foot on campus, where new friends, faculty and staff are instrumental in helping you clarify your goals and realize your vision.
We want you to feel comfortable with the people, places and programs that will become your life during the next four years, and Fusion will help you do just that! You'll learn about campus resources, academic support and student organizations. You'll meet new people, make new friends, discover new programs and officially become part of the EMU family. We want to help make your transition as smooth as possible so that you can hit the ground running on your first day of classes!
Who Attends Orientation?
Orientation is a mandatory program for our new students. Our orientation programs are designed with both residential and commuter students in mind.
Families / Guests
The first day of First Four (August 31, 2013) program is designed specifically for families and guests who are supporting a student through the college journey.
EMU welcomes families and guests; however, there are no special services available for children during this program. When your students registers for the entire Fusion Orientation Program, you will be able to indicate the number of guests who will attend Part B: Fusion First Four (a maximum of 4 guest per student).
Please contact Eastern Michigan University's Director of the Disability Resource Center, Adam Meyer, if you have accesibility or accommodation needs for campus events or activity due to a disability. Reasonable arrangements require practical advanced notice of need.
